In-person and Virtual Options
FFN Performer of the Year Eeppi Ursin is looking forward to entertaining your chapter’s members and friends with her award-winning musical style!
Eeppi is available to perform at your location from January through December of 2022. A virtual program is also an option.
Here’s what you need to know and do to book the POY program
(The following is subject to change based on COVID-related travel restrictions)
FNN chapters in good standing* may book a virtual or in-person appearance
*A chapter must be fully current in dues owed to Finlandia Foundation National, and meet the other requirements of FFN affiliation, to be considered a chapter in good standing.
EEPPI URSIN: LIVE AND IN-PERSON
Contact POY coordinator Katariina Lehtonen at lehtonenk @ comcast.net regarding your desired appearance date and to ask any questions you may have about the POY engagement and any of the following:
TRAVEL The POY’s travel expenses to and from performances/events organized by/for FFN chapters are covered by a travel grant from FFN to the POY.
LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS Working directly with the POY, the host chapter is responsible for:
- Confirmation of the approximately 60-minute performance time, date and place
- Artist honorarium/performance fee of $580, paid directly to Eeppi
- Eeppi’s local/ground transportation
- Overnight hosting/accommodations (may be at a hotel or a chapter member’s residence)
- Physical arrangements such as piano, audio/visual, sound system or other staging needs at the performance site, to be confirmed with Eeppi
WORKSHOPS Chapters may invite the POY to give a workshop for a fee negotiated between the POY and hosting chapter.
NOTE: Chapters may charge an admission fee to help cover the cost of the POY concert and/or workshop.
ADVERTISING Hosting chapters will make every effort to attract audiences to the performance, within and also beyond the Finnish-American community.
PUBLICITY The host chapter will promote/advertise the POY appearance within its community.
VIRTUAL POY CONCERT
Due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, FFN offers an alternative to a live, in-person performance by Eeppi.
Contact POY coordinator Katariina Lehtonen at lehtonenk @ comcast.net regarding your desired virtual date and to ask any questions you may have about the POY engagement.
POY BY ZOOM A chapter may arrange a private, online viewing for its members and guests of a 30-minute pre-recorded concert, with a live introduction by Eeppi and post-concert Q&A with the artist.
FFN offers this online program
at no charge to chapters.
ARRANGEMENTS Working directly with the POY, the host chapter is responsible for:
- Confirmation of the Zoom performance time and date
- Contacting the FFN office, which will set up the Zoom coordinates for the event
- Promoting the event and providing the Zoom information to its members
TOOLS FROM FFN
We want to help make your event a success, and talk about it afterwards! FFN offers tools and assistance for pre- and post-event publicity and promotion.
For publicity purposes, high and low resolution photos of the POY are available, as is a press release that may be adapted and customized to the appearance.
FFN will provide promotional material/artwork to the host chapters so that they may post the information and/or print quantities for publicizing the event.
After an in-person concert, please provide information and high resolution photos of the event to FFN.

PROGRAM BROCHURES A quantity of 8.5″x11″ POY fliers about Eeppi (lower left) is available from the office to assist with promotion and for distribution at the performance. Click on it for a larger view. You may also choose to print your own quantity.
The 8.5″x11″ promotional flyer (lower right) is designed with a blank space at the top where you may insert information about the show (i.e., time, date and place).
